Red White & Ka'boredom

okay so there is a firework show my city has that is totally adorable
but not this time
I brought my friend cate thinking we would have so much fun eating from all the food trucks and what not
we stood in a line for nearly an hour
bought 15 dollars worth of 2 cheese burgers and a pina coloda
in the rain
pouring rain to be exact
we finally got our food and the cheese burgers were just like mcdonalds except 4 dollars more
(okay they weren't terrible but they weren't worth 5 bucks!)
the line was so long
and when we were almost at the front an old lady came up and said
"you don't mind if i slide in by you right?"
now listen i am a kind person
but after standing in line for nearly an hour and for her to just come up and ask to skip like that
i said (with consideration that she was an elder and i was but a youth)
"um you can slide in behind us because we have been waiting in this line for nearly an hour"
sass mode was activated
yeah she stood by us anyways
after we finally bought our food we stood in another line to get our food

*this is cate and i walking to the other line with much sass*

after we got our food we met up with my family and it started pouring rain
again
so after standing in a line for an hour caroline, cate, and i just decided to leave
and as we walked to the car fire works went off
a car nearly splashed us with water like one of those movie moments
and then a car did splash us like one of those movie moments
we sang the last couple line of "america the beautiful"
and went inside the car just to find out we left the umbrella in the car

Julia Grace

   Today is a special day.

And no it's not Julia's birthday
Wait what? IT IS!

(she's the brunette one not the blonde.)

She is known for many things.
Like her love for her country
**Many liberty, much freedom**

Or like how she was hipster with the flower crowns before anyone else

And that angelina jolies leg has nothing compared to julia's

even though she wasn't allowed to watch the spice girl movie... she still lived it

you fit perfectly in our family and will always be the queen of our hearts
ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF 21!!!
JULIA!

The "Oscars" and the million laugh entry we made

Recently I went to Youth Conference for my church and I got placed in an Ah-Mazing group to make a video with.
Anyways the objective we tried to do was make a funny but still spiritual video about our church. While most groups chose serious we chose funny, also my group made me the director and although at times it was hard we all put in ideas and somehow (thanks to amazing editors we had) when it came to Oscars night we were thrilled to see it, since none of us had seen it yet.
When our video came up laughter filled the room, not the laughter where it's so bad that everyone is too busy laughing to feel sorry for us and our video. But the laughter that this video we made was honestly so good that people were crying tears because it was that hilarious.
At the end when the "Oscar" winners were announced I felt so proud of my group that when we won "best comedy" it was basically one of those Disney Channel moments where at the end of the movie everything is alright and and we could have sang "Together" like they did in High school Musical. But I contained my self to standing up and saying "YES YES!"
                    Anyways here is the video!

Stick-shifts and why no one should honk at me even though I stalled through the whole light.

I think I deserve a pat on the back for not dying while driving a stick-shift today. With all the commotion of changing gears and the thoughts from a Zoey 101 episode of an old guy teaching Michael how to drive a stick-shift, all I could think was "Stir the tuna". But that advice didn't help me when I stalled, stalled, and stalled again all at one traffic light.
People please stop honking your horns at me you are not helping the situation.
Somehow my father and I made it home safely. But if you are unsure about driving a stick shift just look back at me and think "If she can drive a stick-shift still even after causing traffic at one of the busiest parts of the day then I can drive a stick-shift too". You can also imagine people giving you a slow clap as you achieve this great driving trial. I'm not saying I do that. It's just if I did, I would imagine it would be very helpful.

Hopes and Dreams of a Fifth Grader

Okay to get this blog started let me just start to say that my life is filled with awkward moments and many times getting hit by basketballs just by sitting on the bleachers in gym.
And in the fifth grade I had great ambitions in this world and I truly believed that I would do something great in life and be known for it for years to come. But what thing could I possibly do to get this famous?
Astronaut artist. I would become an astronaut artist.
The whole astronaut thing started in fourth grade when I got the best time in a ruler catching reflex exercise when learning about space and how astronauts need good reflexes.  When I caught that ruler and the teacher said I was the best, my teacher could've called 911 for how big my head got.
I would just make power point presentations on how I would even paint in space! I mean I already had a medal from NASA I got in the first grade how hard could being an astronaut be?
Then one day I watched this episode of Fairly Oddparents and the dad was going to be an astronaut and leave his family for years! YEARS! I CANT LEAVE MY FAMILY! I LOVE MY FAMILY!
So those dreams of being an astronaut have been flushed down the toilet along with being a figure skater.
But looking back in my year book and seeing the goals in life section I smile at how I put "My goal in life is to become the first astronaut artist" Honestly I was surprised they let me put that since my elementary school was really strict. I mean they threatend us that in middle school keyboards didn't have letters and we better learn them now or we will fail in life.
